2024 Mardi Gras Dinner Dance Recap

It was a starry sky on the evening of February 10, 2024 as Cursillo Community members and guests arrived at the Cathedral of St. Ignatius of Loyola Family Life Center. The tables were adorned with multi-colored beads, purple and gold hats with tall purple, green and gold plumage, and twinkle lights to create a party atmosphere. There were a few high top tables decorated with colorful masks and candles to usher the partygoers to the appetizers as they waited for the festivities to begin. Emcee and Cursillista from Cursillo 63, Steve Maiorino, introduced Fr. Gavin Badway, Rector of the Cathedral of St. Ignatius, to say the blessing and provided commentary throughout the evening about the Cursillo Community, Secretariat members and event volunteers and guest speakers, Donna Holmstrom, Diocesan Coordinator and Bill Mallette, Asst. Diocesan Coordinator, who spoke about the financial needs and upcoming events.

Special thanks to the 70 community members and guests that attended and donated their time, talent and treasure. We raised over $2,000 to cover monthly expenses and scholarships for candidates and team. We appreciate your generosity!
